Kathryn and I are both designers of eco fashion. We have come together because we believe that eco fashion is not about a specific aesthetic, but rather an attitude. Coming from two different backgrounds - me, a Lithuanian Canadian, and Kathryn, a well-travelled American living on Cape Cod - we have very different styles of design. My label, Devinto, is inspired by the dark 60’s vintage urban vixen. Kathryn’s label, GreenLinebyK, caters to the modern bohemian woman, a style inspired by the refined yet wild and free woman of the 70’s. And yet we admire and appreciate each other’s work and relate to the struggles of being an independent eco designer.
Think ‘Paris meets Woodstock’.
SINGLE STREAM is a collaborative effort we’ve embarked upon with a specific purpose - to demonstrate through design that eco fashion is no different from mainstream fashion when it comes to its possibilities. It can be many different things, many different looks, and many different styles.

The primary difference between eco fashion and mainstream fashion is their focus. Eco fashion is focused on ethical principles and environmentally conscious sourcing; craftsmanship and community rather than profit margins. It is about collaboration rather than competition. It is inclusive rather than exclusive.

With this in mind, our goal is to design garments representative of our own personal aesthetics and pair them, with these combinations representing the community of eco fashion we aim to promote. We want to unite our styles in a SINGLE STREAM - as friends, colleagues, and members of this new fashion community.
It is our hope that this community will grow, vast and strong - not only between fellow designers and garment producers, but extending to consumers, our customers, and everyone interested in knowing where and how their clothing is made.
